OVERVIEW
This 1931 Ford Model A pickup is the result of a reportedly $40,000 build and was previously one-family-owned for 30 years. It receives power from a rebuilt 239ci flathead V8 mated to a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. Features include dual Stromberg carburetors, a chrome-finished suspension, Billet Specialties 17-inch wheels, and front disc brakes. Finished in two-tone black and yellow and equipped with a removable black top over a tan vinyl interior, this Model A is now offered with receipts, build records, and a clear Michigan title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The black finish was applied as part of a restoration in the early 2000s and is accented by yellow hand-painted pinstriping and yellow frame rails. The reportedly rust-free body is capped off with a custom removable black soft top with a zip-in rear window and side curtains. Features include chrome suspension treatment, a 1932-model grille, dual side mirrors, and a cargo bed with wooden planks and stainless steel hardware.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Billet Specialties 17-inch polished aluminum are wrapped in 235/45 front and 275/60 rear radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior is fitted with a tan vinyl bench seat, matched to the door panels and carpeting. The dash is dressed in glossy two-tone woodgrain trim. According to the seller, the top can be collapsed and stored under the seat.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
The Dakota Digital instrumentation includes a speedometer along with auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The digital odometer reads 852 miles, which is accurate, according to the seller.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The seller believes the flathead V8 is a 239ci engine. It has been rebuilt and upgraded with Motor City Flathead heads, a high-rise intake manifold, and dual Stromberg carburetors. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and a differential sourced from a 302ci V8-powered 1974 Ford Maverick. The seller states the oil may need to be changed because the car has been sitting during the winter.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The front end uses components from Pete & Jakes Hot Rod Parts. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes up front and drums in the rear.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The sale includes build records and receipts.
